Welcome to the American Country Countdown Wiki[]

Hi, welcome to the American Country Countdown wiki. This wiki is all about a spinoff based off the original American Top 40 radio show, only with Country Music songs. You can post something if you'd like, but it has to do something with this wiki. Do NOT post any spam or misleading pages. If so, the page will be deleted.

American Country Countdown launched on October 6, 1973 with host Don Bowman. The longest-tenured host in ACC history is Bob Kingsley who took over the program beginning with the May 6, 1978 show. Kingsley's ACC run lasted 27 years, ending with the December 17, 2005 show. Kix Brooks has been the program's current host since January 21, 2006.

Just like American Top 40, ACC used the Billboard chart from its' beginning and continued to use Billboard for over 35 years until they switched to the Mediabase spin-based chart starting with the August 15, 2009 show. On September 2, 2017, ACC began using Billboard for its' chart information again, this time using the magazine's Country Airplay chart.
